Mills & Farrell – Love Local Concert Series

Mills & Farrell, a traditional, contemporary folk duo, travel the world in pursuit of music, both traditional and inspirational. They come from backgrounds of Australian rock (David Farrell) and Nova Scotia folk (Janet Mills). A sound inspired by Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, The Milk Carton Kids, and The Waifs, they use two voices and acoustic instrumentation to create and blend their own expression in telling provocative stories. Be it the age-old conundrum of human experience, environmental tragedies, or ancient songs from long ago, their sound is a connective live experience.
